How Do All-On-4 Implants Work?
All-On-4 implants work differently than traditional dental implants. If you’ve been told you do not have sufficient bone support, and you need a denture on the bottom, you will first need a bone graft to create additional support before we place 4 or 6 implants to support your new denture.
With All-On-4, we will place two vertical implants into the front of your jaw and two diagonal implants that will face the front. This will eliminate the need for a bone graft because we’re using the denser part of your jaw to support the denture.
Am I a Candidate for All-On-4 Implants?
Before, patients who wanted dental implants were required to have good oral health and strong bone. While both are still incredibly important, those who do not meet the “normal” requirements can still receive All-On-4 implants. Your dentist will work with you to determine the best course of action as it pertains to your oral health, but don’t be surprised if you learn that you are, indeed, a qualified candidate for All-On-4 dental implants.
What Are the Benefits of All-On-4 Implants?
If you’re looking to replaces your missing teeth with dentures, you’ll want to consider the benefits of choosing All-On-4 Implants. They include:
