August 25, 2015

talk to your dentist about oral cancer screeningsThere’s a problem no one’s talking about, even though it kills one person every hour. That means that by the time you eat lunch, it will have killed more than seven people since you woke up. And only slightly half of those who have it will live more than five years. It’s more deadly than cervical cancer, Hodgkin’s lymphoma and testicular cancer–cancers we hear about far more often.

Summertime And the Livin’ Is Easy With A Dental Visit

July 15, 2015

Filed under: Uncategorized — rosenfeld @ 9:46 am

Summer is great time to get your teeth checked.Summertime is a wonderful time for kids and parents. The kids get a few months to spend time at the pool and hang out with their friends while getting into who-knows-what. It’s a great time for parents, too, as they can sit back and not have to worry about school projects, or PTA meetings or anything else that’s school related. Now that you have all this time on your hands, don’t you think it’s time that you take your kids in for a dental checkup? There have for sure been lots of sugary treats consumed over the past couple of months, and we think it would be a good decision to bring them in so we can ensure that their teeth are in tip-top shape. At our office in East Islip, NY, we can give your kids the clean bill of health after they’ve seen us. If they have been complaining of toothaches or any other dental problem, it’s a great time to put their mouths under the light for our team to diagnose any problems.

The students were delighted to learn all about brushing, flossing and maintaining their dental health. They especially loved watching our stuffed dog, Puppy Pete, learn how to brush correctly, including a demonstration of his fabulous spitting skills! At the conclusion of the lesson, the students were given a “goody” bag filled with supplies for maintaining their beautiful smiles. A fun and informative time was had by all.
